Day at Coronado

I think we have been in a bike riding mood lately, we must be trying to teach Clara well in advance how to ride a bike. We love Coronado, and have always wanted to ride bikes around the island. Today we decided to head down and make the loop, it was about 7 miles, and the weather was perfect. It is such a cute little town, with beautiful houses. We definitely found a dream house or two of ours. But, seeing as they go for at least a couple million dollars, we just gaze and dream. To finish the day we went to Lamb's Players Theatre, which is a tradition of ours. The Glass Menagerie, by Tennessee Williams, was playing, and it was really good. I love going to plays, and Jordan is a great sport. It was a really fun day, and a perfect weekend activity.

Mother's Day

This was my first unofficial mother's day, I was very surprised and happy to learn that I get to celebrate it already, (I am already taking care of a baby technically). Jordan brought me home some flowers, and my mom-in-law Debbie got me a very cute baby scrap booking book with a twist, you fill it out for the baby, but the book is about the parents. For mother's day we had my family and Jordan's parents over for dinner, it was very fun hanging out and playing games.

My first mother's day!

Lately we also made our first baby purchases! We bought some beautiful baby furniture for a steal-of-a-deal on craig's list, and have set most of it up in the nursery. I love the look so far, and can't wait to decorate and get the fill in items.


We are also cooking up another adventure...Sailing Trip 2009...coming in June! Nothing is better than four days sailing around the Channel Islands with some great friends. Spots are filling up very fast, and it should be a great crew!

Birthday and Anniversary Weekend!

This weekend for my birthday and our anniversary we had a few events planned. To start the fun weekend, we had a barbecue with family at the Carlsbad Inn, the weather was great and we hung out down at the beach for a while, enjoying the sun. We played some bocce ball, the boys skim boarded and we just relaxed. Right before sunset we went on a bike ride along the coast, and finally went back up to the court yard at the Inn and had a great barbecue. I opened my birthday present's from family then, and I got some great stuff. One thing that was really exciting was the camera that Jordan got me. It is a Canon Rebel XS, and it is beautiful, I can't wait to start taking good pictures (I definitely need to learn a thing or two about photography before I use it though). Jordan and I had reserved a room at the Inn for the night, it was a fun getaway.

The next morning we had a doctor's appointment, and we got to see Clara again! She was very active, kicking and moving around, we even saw her yawn, it was really cute. They confirmed again that the baby is a girl, and she weighs about 14 ounces right now, right on track.

After our appointment, the next phase of the weekend was heading up to Disneyland! This year Disneyland is giving free admission on your birthday, so I definitely took advantage of that! I was a little limited with what I could ride, sticking to the mellow ones and the kiddie rides. It was still really fun, we just did some things we wouldn't normally do, like see some shows. We had a great time, and it was a fun close to the weekend.

Four Years Ago Today....

We had a beautiful wedding...

an awesome reception...and the honeymoon of our dreams...

Today is our four year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we are both working, but we have some fun weekend plans (will post about those later). I just wanted to say that I am the luckiest girl alive to have such an amazing husband. Jordan you are my best friend and I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you for making me your wife four years ago!
